About Tamara Von Forslon:

Tamara Von Forslon, also known as The Witch of Oz, is an internationally renowned Wiccan priestess, mystical practitioner, and acclaimed author. Born in Victoria Park, Perth, Western Australia, on November 23, 1956, Tamara’s journey into the Craft began over 50 years ago. Dubbed by Raymond Buckland in the early 80s as The Witch of Oz, Tamara has been a devoted practitioner of Wicca and Witchcraft, dedicated to teaching and sharing her wisdom with seekers around the world.

Tamara Von Forslon’s Journey:

Tamara’s path as a Wiccan priestess has been marked by numerous achievements and milestones. She is considered one of the world’s respected Wiccan Elders, having founded and led several significant organizations within the Wiccan community. These include:

  • Founder and Creator of Australia’s first legal Neo-Pagan Church, The Church of Wicca (Australia, 1989)
  • Clan of Boskednan Elder (1978)
  • Priestess of the Fellowship of Isis (1981)
  • Arch Priestess of the Aquarian Tabernacle Church in Australia (1991)
  • Accepted as Elder of the Grey Council (2020)

Tamara’s Initiations and Teachings:

Tamara’s journey into the Craft began at the age of 14 when she met David, the High Priest of the Coven of Draconis in Perth. Initiated into the Coven on June 26, 1970, Tamara’s spiritual path continued to unfold as she explored various traditions, including Alexandrian Witchcraft and West Green Witchcraft. Over the years, she founded her own Coven, the Quercus Covenantus, and later established The Church of Wicca to legalize Wiccan practices in Australia.

Contributions and Advocacy:

Tamara’s contributions extend beyond the realm of spirituality. She has been a tireless advocate for the recognition and acceptance of Wicca as a legitimate religious practice, leading to the legalization of the Church of Wicca and the protection of Wiccan rights in Australia. Additionally, Tamara is a passionate supporter of environmental causes, wildlife protection, and humanitarian efforts.

Tamara’s extensive knowledge and experiences are reflected in her series of books, where she shares insights into magic, Witchcraft, Shamanism, Tarot, and herbal medicine.
