Self-publishers this one is for you. We honor and support the decision to self-publish 100%. We know, that’s kind of weird for a publisher. The thing is, we started out as a group of self-published authors and many of us are a mix of traditionally published with some titles self-published, so we have experience with both. Every book is different. You can publish 10 books and book #11 will have a hiccup you have not encountered before when you go to upload it to a platform. You get an email saying there is an issue with your file. EEEEEEEEEEEEkkkkkkkk!
If you have the time to dig in and figure out the issue, fix it, and it not delay a neatly laid out publishing plan, by all means! If you run into issues you can’t sort out, we’re here for you too, but wholly believe in you!
But, if you have a neatly laid out plan and a lot of things hinge on your book going live on time on all the platforms or just one, getting an email notification from a platform stating there was an issue with your files instead of seeing your book go live can wreak havoc. You don’t have to panic. We’re here to help!
